This company always makes great products, this is our third purchase of thier products. One thing you must do, to get great sound is to allow for the two day "break in" period, ay first I tried these on and was not overly impressed, did a little research and read about the "break in" period, I took the earbuds and plugged in my Zune, set it to shuffle all, allowed to play all day for two days (charged Zune at night) and tried them out the following day and WOW. Great bass, vocals are clear. Only complaint I have is that they are small, really small, they fit well in the ear, just never owned any so small, that being said, it is amazing that they get that kind of sound out of something so small.
Great sound for small headphones. Noise-cancelling feature good as well. Wish it came with volume control.
They seem very durable, and think they will be the last pair I buy for many years. I would say they are about twice as loud at the same volume level as my Sony's.
The J2's were too bulky for me, and didn't fit right - so I gave them to my dad. I needed to replace my disintegrating Sony Fontopia 51's, and I bought these and the Jbuds J2's b/c I was torn b/w the 2 after all my research.
They have low resistance, which means your player doesn't have to work as hard to drive them. I didn't listen to them long enough to even comment on the audio quality - they simply didn't fit me, so they were a no-go.
The CX-300's are a touch larger than my old Sony's, and perhaps lack a little sound quality when comparing them side-by-side (bass seemed a tad better on the Sony's), but overall I am very happy with them. This low resistance helps save some battery life, b/c I can turn down the volume.
I do a LOT of research, and I think these are the best value, hence the 5 stars.
This is an awesome set of phones. I mean for the price its unbeatable. Perfect for the ipod, i enter another world with them. its funn
